The NXP Nexperia cellular system solution 5213 is a complete hardware/software design for mid-range multimedia EDGE phones. Supplied with all the pre-validated hardware, software, and tool components for a finished design, it enables rapid capitalization in today’s fast-growing markets.

Offering full quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE operation, it addresses the mid-level Value Added Services (VAS) market with a range of multimedia functions, including still picture, video, MMS, Java, WAP, audio organizer, and video player.

The core components include a high-performance baseband, a power management unit (PMU) with fully integrated battery charger, and a complete four-band transceiver. High integration, along with optimized processing power, keeps power consumption and delivers industry-leading standby and talk times.

The power management unit (PMU) PCF50611 provides very efficient power generation and offers real-time power management to reduce power consumption and extend battery life.
